Rainforest Connection
Rainforest Connection (RFCx) builds and deploys scalable, open acoustic monitoring systems that can halt illegal logging and poaching, and can enable biodiversity measurement and monitoring. RFCx combines the power of eco-acoustics, AI, and their team of experts to leverage their acoustic technology systems to enable the protection and preservation of threatened ecosystems and endangered species in project sites and in partnership with organizations around the world. Their systems detect threats, such as illegal logging, and monitor biodiversity, enabling us to take action against deforestation and climate change and to adapt to the impacts of the ongoing biodiversity loss crisis that's pushing thousands of species towards extinction. By listening to and learning from nature, RFCx can act proactively to inform conservation efforts and protect these species and forests before they are lost forever.

Climate Trace
Climate TRACE is a non-profit coalition that leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to create a comprehensive, independent accounting of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The initiative analyzes over 90 trillion bytes of data from satellites, sensors, and other sources to provide detailed emissions information across countries, industries, and individual sources. Climate TRACE aims to address the limitations of traditional self-reported emissions data by offering an independent, transparent approach with up-to-date information. The coalition brings together over 100 organizations, including nonprofits, tech companies, universities, and climate experts, to support policymakers, scientists, and activists in their efforts to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C as per the Paris Climate Agreement

Bezos Earth Fund - AI for Climate and Nature Grand Challenge
The AI for Climate and Nature Grand Challenge is a $100 million initiative by the Bezos Earth Fund to explore how modern AI can address climate change and nature loss. The challenge focuses on sustainable proteins, power grid optimization, and biodiversity conservation, along with visionary wildcard solutions. It will unfold over three rounds, with the first round including two phases. In Phase 1, up to 30 U.S.-based 501(c)(3) entities and global academic institutions will receive $50,000 seed grants. In Phase 2, up to 15 grantees will receive up to $2 million each for implementation. The initiative aims to multiply the impact of climate and nature efforts using AI technology.
