UNDP SDG AI Lab
The SDG AI Lab is a joint initiative of UNDP Nature, Climate and Energy Team, Finance Sector Hub and IICPSD, which has a mission to harness the potential of frontier technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for sustainable development. The Lab contributes to strengthening UNDP’s internal capacity to respond to the increasing demand for digital solutions through provision of research, development and advisory support.

AI technologies must be accessible to all, ensuring that the opportunities and benefits from technological progress are distributed equitably. This includes creating inclusive job growth, promoting talent, and ensuring that the benefits of AI are shared broadly across and within countries and societies.

The AI Hub for Sustainable Development
The AI Hub for Sustainable Development is a new collaborative initiative for steering private sector collective action to accelerate sustainable development in local AI ecosystems. By focusing on three critical pillars - data pipelines, green computational power, and talent - the AI Hub seeks to support African countries in harnessing the transformative potential of AI and ensure that the AI revolution leaves no one behind. The AI Hub builds on and complements existing initiatives of the G7 and beyond, serving as a multistakeholder space for steering collective actions with the private sector to accelerate sustainable development, by working directly with local AI ecosystems across countries.

AI Governance Alliance
The AI Governance Alliance, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, brings together leaders to guide the responsible development and use of generative AI. By collaborating with other World Economic Forum centers across domains like healthcare, manufacturing, financial and monetary systems and others, the Alliance leverages diverse expertise to address AI's multifaceted challenges. It emphasizes practical impacts and innovation to empower communities and accelerate technological and societal advancements. It operates through three core workstreams: i) Responsible Applications and Transformation, ii) Resilient Governance and Regulation, and iii) Safe Systems and Technologies.
